PERHAPS FINALLY ALONE
Using ingredients from an possible household, I place the subject in the centre of the photograph, raised by small food stools as if resting on plinths. The heavy patterned curtains and upholstery materials, help to flatten the image and accentuate the amorphous positions adopted by the photographed individual.
Their identities are concealed, to emphasize the ordinary details. The textures and shapes in the photographs contribute to abstract the logical relationship between the individual and the domesticated.
